How To Make $5,000 a Month Blogging

Most likely, the title of this post led to you reading these words. I'm not going to promise you any miracles, but I will explain in theory how you can earn $5,000 a month by blogging on your blog. The reality is, you can make as little or as much money as you want per month blogging, it's really up to you. I'll show you some different ways you can achieve the $5,000 goal though.

Break it Down

In order to achieve a goal, first you have to set it, and then you have to break it down into manageable smaller goals. So if you divide $5,000 by 30 days, you have to make $167 in revenue from your blog, per day. The next step is figuring out ways to make $167 per day from blog posts! You don't necessarily have to make $167 from the posts themselves, but your posts have to draw in the traffic to convert into your $167 in daily sales. Here are some income generators that can monetize on blog traffic:

Affiliate Advertising

Although it may be difficult to earn $167 in click-throughs, leads and sales, its not impossible. The key here is to blog about a VALUABLE niche and gain credibility. The more credibility you have, the more traffic will be generated and the more your readers will respect your recommendations. Also, if your site is considered a "destination" site like CNet for example, you will have more readers ready to buy visiting you. They are much more likely to click on your sponsors and generate affiliate revenue for you.

Sales Programs (Ebooks, DVDs, Training Materials)

You can also blog to build leads for your own training programs, such as a financial training program. You could offer free financial advice on your blog and then offer a more advanced training class for a small fee. If you offered accurate and helpful information, I can guarantee you would be able to convert a percentage of that traffic into sales. If you received 2,000 unique visitors per day, and 10% of them (200 people) paid $10.00 each for a ebook/dvd package, you could actually generate $200 per day instead of $167!

E-Store

You could also build a blog around merchandise that you carry so that your visitors would be more likely to shop at your e-store. You could build a blog about car modifications and then sell the parts on your e-store. You review the parts, record video of installs and compare vendors. This a very easy way to build instant traffic to your e-store. Car parts offer a high margin, so chances are you could sell one or two parts a day to earn $167!

Web Design or Programming

You could also create a web design how-to site and offer free tips and tricks. You could then offer "premium" support or technical assistance for a fee. If you are good at what you do and give your audience the support they need, you should be able to EASILY make $167 a day! Imagine charging $50 for a Wordpress install, or $10 for a plugin customization? It's niche thats already out there and a good way to capitalize on your knowledge!

So as you can see, this wasn't a "get rich quick" post or hyperbole. You CAN make $5,000 month through blogging. Often new bloggers get frustrated when they don't earn as much as the "pros" in the beginning, and it's because you can't do it with Google ads alone.
