Hey peeps! Long time no post, I know. Â I had a shopping experience yesterday ago that was so smooth and efficient that I actually had to take time out of my ever increasing projects to write a post about it. Â The experience was buying a domain name from Dan Rubin at JustDropped.Com.
Let me begin by letting you know that this not a paid or sponsored review in any form. Â I was so flat out impressed by Dan's speed and professionalism that I had to give him a plug on my blog. A while ago I was toying with the idea of being a semi-professional "domainer" - someone who buys domains and sells them at a premium price. Â So I began to search Da Internets for a good expired domains site, since people drop a lot of awesome names every day. Â I found JustDropped through a few google searches and signed up for the site newsletter.
Dan sends out a weekly list of Domains up for sale and although I've seen some good ones, I was never got around to actually BUYING one, lol. Â I've been expanding my affiliate marketing efforts lately however and was looking for a domain related to the keywords "coupons" or "offers" because I've been looking to start a coupon site. Â I got a name that was ok for it, but I was looking for something shorter and that had a nice ring to it.
As luck would have it, on Dan's latest newsletter the perfect name appeared before my eyes - RecentOffers.Com! It had the word "offers" was relatively short and easy to remember and had another word that would help in my marketing of it - Recent. Â I came up with the prefect mental sales pitch - a coupons and savings site that listed the latest, and most recent offers from online stores and vendors. Â I quickly replied to Dan and he transferred the name to me WITHIN TWO HOURS!
He made the process a Snap - reply with the word "sold", send him the payment via Paypal, and then create an account with Moniker.Com. Â Once I created the account with moniker, all i had to do was provide my account number and authorization code and the name was renewed and transferred. Â Painless, and VERY simple.
Dan is a great example of the level of service that anyone selling a service online should follow. He followed up to all my emails rapidly and made sure to confirm that the name was successfully transferred. Â He also explained in detail the process to get the account with Moniker setup and where to find the information required to get the name moved over quickly. Dan simply proves the obvious - Good service isn't hard to provide.
